  • Savanna 106 W 56th street, Core and Shell development, 88,000sf, pursuing LEED 2009 C&S certification.

  • Credit Suisse ‘Project Liberty’, Eleven Madison Avenue, New York, 1.1million sf, $343million interior renovation of 13 floors of Credit Suisse headquarters pursuing LEED 2009 ID+C ‘Silver’ certification.
  • Mother Clara hale Bus Depot, New York, 386,700 sf, $284million MTA NYCT’s new construction bus depot, achieved LEED NC v2.2 ‘Gold’ certification.
  • Pratt Institute New Administrative & Academic Building, Brooklyn NY, 95,000 sf, $35million high-performing new building achieved LEED NC v 2.2 ‘Gold level’ certification.
  • NYU  College of Nursing, Dentistry and Bioengineering Institute, New York, NY, 170,865 sf,  $125million, 14 story new construction college achieved LEED 2009 BD+C Silver rating.
  • Sugar Hill Project, New York, NY, 171,000 sf 14 story, $75million mixed use building which includes multifamily residential apartments, daycare and children’s museum is pursuing LEED 2009 BD+C ‘Silver’ certification:


At UAI, in addition to being a Project Manager for several commercial and multifamily projects in NYC, Ms. Mittal was the LEED Administrator & Project Coordinator for CEDARS: A 9-story Multistory Residence for seniors in Bronx, NY achieved LEED NC 2.2 ‘Gold’ certification. This project was NYSERDA’s pilot for Energy Efficient Multifamily housing.


Garima Mittal LEED AP BD+C, O+M

Specializes in sustainable strategies and LEED® Certifications for commercial and residential projects. She holds  a Masters of Science degree in Sustainable Design from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA and a Bachelors of Architecture degree from New Delhi, India.


She was one of the initial set of professionals who became LEED AP in NYC in 2004. Since then she has combined experience of 12 years including 4 years advocating sustainability as a project manager at Urban Architectural Initiatives, RA. PC, (UAI) and 8 years as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) until Dec 2015. She also consulted with Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) in 2016 where she worked on several sustainability initiatives.
